    Ein Besuch bei Holocaust-Überlebenden – Nordisrael

    Heute hatte unser Sabra-Team das Privileg, einen Club von Holocaust-Überlebenden in der Gegend von Haifa zu besuchen. Dies war unsere erste Begegnung mit Überlebenden aus der nördlichen Region, und wir wurden mit großer Herzlichkeit und Begeisterung empfangen.

    Die Überlebenden sangen Lieder auf Jiddisch – Melodien aus ihrer Kindheit, die noch immer in ihren Seelen widerhallen. Sie sangen auch hebräische Lieder, von denen viele alte Gebete waren, die in der ganzen jüdischen Welt bekannt sind. Die Atmosphäre war erfüllt von Emotionen und Erinnerung.

    Im Namen des Sabra-Teams sprach ich einen Segen für ein gutes und langes Leben aus. Ich habe ihnen gesagt, dass sie nach allem, was sie durchgemacht haben, Trost, Ehre und Unterstützung verdient haben – nicht nur von künftigen Generationen von Israelis, sondern von Gläubigen in aller Welt. Viele gläubige Menschen fühlen eine tiefe Verbundenheit und Verantwortung, diese kostbaren Seelen zu lieben, für sie zu beten und ihnen zu helfen.

    Mit Offenheit und Aufrichtigkeit sprach ich zu ihnen über die Kraft, die im Glauben an den Herrn der Welt liegt. Der Glaube ist nicht nur eine Erinnerung an die Vergangenheit – er ist die gegenwärtige Quelle von Kraft und Heilung.

    Jeder Überlebende erhielt ein einfaches, aber bedeutungsvolles Geschenk: ein warmes Paar Socken, handgestrickt von gläubigen Frauen – jede Masche mit Gebet und Liebe gefüllt.

    Da das Pessachfest näher rückt, werden wir alles tun, um sicherzustellen, dass sie es in Würde und mit Freude feiern können – mit einem festlichen Seder-Mahl und ausreichend Essen für die gesamte Festwoche.

    Ein Moment hat mein Herz besonders berührt: Eine 93-jährige Überlebende kam mit Tränen in den Augen auf mich zu. Sie erzählte mir, dass sie auf den Knien des Glaubens aufgewachsen sei, aber der Kommunismus habe ihr das genommen. Doch heute hat sie ihn wieder gespürt – etwas ist wieder erwacht. Der Funke des Glaubens ist noch lebendig.

    Uma visita a sobreviventes do Holocausto – Norte de Israel

    Hoje, nossa equipe Sabra teve o privilégio de visitar um clube de sobreviventes do Holocausto na região de Haifa. Essa foi nossa primeira reunião introdutória com sobreviventes da região norte, e fomos recebidos com calor e entusiasmo.

    Os sobreviventes cantaram canções em iídiche – melodias de suas infâncias que ainda ecoam em suas almas. Eles também cantaram músicas em hebraico, muitas das quais eram orações antigas conhecidas em todo o mundo judaico. A atmosfera estava repleta de emoção e lembranças.

    Em nome da equipe Sabra, compartilhei uma bênção para uma vida boa e longa. Eu lhes disse que, depois de tudo o que sofreram, eles são dignos de conforto, honra e apoio – não apenas das futuras gerações de israelenses, mas também dos fiéis de todo o mundo. Muitas pessoas de fé sentem uma profunda conexão e responsabilidade de amar, orar e doar a essas almas preciosas.

    Com franqueza e sinceridade, falei a eles sobre a força encontrada na fé no Senhor do Mundo. A fé não é apenas uma lembrança do passado – ela é a fonte atual de poder e cura.

    Cada sobrevivente recebeu um presente simples, mas significativo: um par de meias quentinhas, tricotadas à mão por mulheres de fé – cada ponto impregnado de oração e amor.

    Com a aproximação da Páscoa, faremos tudo o que pudermos para garantir que eles possam comemorar com dignidade e alegria – com uma refeição festiva do Seder e comida suficiente para toda a semana do feriado.

    Um momento tocou especialmente meu coração: uma sobrevivente de 93 anos se aproximou de mim com lágrimas nos olhos. Ela me disse que cresceu sobre os joelhos da fé, mas que o comunismo havia acabado com ela. No entanto, hoje, ela sentiu isso novamente – algo despertou. A centelha da fé ainda está viva.

    A Visit with Holocaust Survivors – Northern Israel

    Today, our Sabra team had the privilege of visiting a Holocaust survivors’ club in the Haifa area. This was our first introductory meeting with survivors from the northern region, and we were received with heartfelt warmth and excitement.

    The survivors sang songs in Yiddish—melodies from their childhoods that still echo in their souls. They also sang Hebrew songs, many of which were ancient prayers known throughout the Jewish world. The atmosphere was filled with emotion and remembrance.

    On behalf of the Sabra team, I shared a blessing for a good and long life. I told them that after all they have endured, they are worthy of comfort, honor, and support—not only from future generations of Israelis but from believers around the world. Many people of faith feel a deep connection and responsibility to love, pray for, and give to these precious souls.

    With openness and sincerity, I spoke to them about the strength found in faith in the Lord of the World. Faith is not only a memory from the past—it is the present source of power and healing.

    Each survivor received a simple but meaningful gift: a warm pair of socks, hand-knitted by women of faith—each stitch infused with prayer and love.

    As Passover approaches, we will do everything we can to ensure they can celebrate with dignity and joy—with a festive Seder meal and enough food for the entire week of the holiday.

    One moment especially touched my heart: a 93-year-old survivor approached me with tears in her eyes. She told me she grew up on the knees of faith, but communism had stripped that away. Yet today, she felt it again—something awakened. The spark of faith is still alive.

    May the blessings of the Most High be upon you, your family, and your community.

    Purim-glede og gode gjerninger over hele landet

    Hjelper barn med å feire mirakelet

    Som det står skrevet i Esters bok (9:22), er Purim en tid for å “sende gaver til hverandre og gaver til de fattige”. Takket være din støtte ble skoler over hele landet også i år fylt med glede, kostymer, Megillah-opplesninger og meningsfull feiring. Utover festlighetene minner Purim oss om Guds mektige frelse – en tid da ødeleggelsesdekretet ble forvandlet til en befrielsesdag for det jødiske folket.
    Dere, våre kjære venner, gjør dette mulig ved å bidra med mat, undervisningsmateriell og til og med forbedringer i klasserommet året rundt. Denne purimdagen bidro gavene deres til å glede barna. Besøkende venner fra hele verden delte latteren og lyset med dem.

    En gledesfylt feiring med Holocaust-overlevende

    På Sabra House – de gode gjerningers hus – arrangerte vi en rørende purimfest for overlevende fra Holocaust. Selv om mange av dem er skrøpelige og har smerter, ble de i godt humør da vi gjenfortalte historien om Ester og feiret Guds trofasthet. En dyktig musiker spilte for dem, noe som fremkalte smil og til og med gledestårer. En eldre kvinne hvisket håpefullt: “Måtte vi få lov til å feire neste år også.”
    Alle de overlevende fikk en håndstrikket gave – skjerf og sokker laget med kjærlighet og bønn av kvinner i Finland og Tyskland. En vakker gest på tvers av generasjoner og nasjoner.

    Støtte til familier i nød

    Hundrevis av matpakker ble delt ut til familier som sliter, pakker fylt med nødvendigheter, frukt, grønnsaker, kjøtt, fisk og ekstra godteri til høytiden. Noen av disse familiene har barn med nedsatt funksjonsevne. Vi fortsetter å følge dem utover høytiden, og tilbyr hjelp og håp.

    Styrker soldatene våre

    Hjemmefrontkommandoens soldater, som utrettelig tjenestegjør for sivilbefolkningen nær grensen i nord, deltok også i en Purim-feiring vi var med på å organisere. Disse modige mennene og kvinnene, som ofte arbeider i stillhet under ild, kunne le og hygge seg i et kort øyeblikk – sammen med våre gjester fra Tyskland, som ble dypt rørt av begivenheten.
    Vi fortsetter å støtte disse soldatene, inkludert enslige soldater, gjennom hele året.

    Autoimme lapsia juhlimaan Ihmettä

    Niin kuin luemme Esterin kirjasta (9:22), Puurim on aika, jolloin juutalaisten piti ”lähettää toisilleen maistiaisia ja köyhille lahjoja.” Niinpä tänäkin vuonna teidän apunne ansiosta koulut kaikkialla maassamme täyttyivät ilosta, naamiaisasuista, Megillan lukemisesta ja merkityksellisestä juhlinnasta.     Ilontäyteinen juhla Holokaustivanhusten kanssa

    Sabrakodissa – Hyvien tekojen talossa – järjestimme koskettavan Puurim juhlan Holokaustivanhuksille. Vaikka useat heistä ovat hauraita ja kärsivät kovista kivuista, heidän henkensä elpyi, kun me kerroimme Esterin tarinan ja kiitimme Jumalaa Hänen uskollisuudestaan. Heille esiintyi myös lahjakas muusikko, jonka esitys kirvoitti kasvoille hymyjä ja ilon kyyneliäkin. Eräs iäkäs rouva kuiskasi toiveikkaana: ” Kunpa saisimme juhlia näin ensi vuonnakin.”

    Tuemme köyhiä perheitä

     Olemme jakaneet satoja ruokapaketteja vaikeuksissa oleville perheille. Näissä paketeissa on peruselintarvikkeita, hedelmiä, vihanneksia, lihaa, kalaa ja juhlaa varten makeaa syötävää. Muutamilla näistä perheistä on vammautuneita lapsia. Kuljemme heidän rinnallaan juhla-aikojen ulkopuolellakin tarjoten heille apua ja toivoa.

    Vahvistamme sotilaitamme

     Kotirintaman sotilaat, jotka palvelevat uupumatta siviilejä pohjoisen rajan lähellä, tulivat myös Puurim-juhlaan, jonka järjestelyssä autoimme. Nämä rohkeat miehet ja naiset,jotka tekevät työtään usein hiljaisesti tulituksen alla, saivat nauraa ja iloita lyhyen hetkisen Saksasta saapuneiden vieraidemme kanssa, joita tapahtuma liikutti syvästi. Jatkamme näiden sotilaiden ja yksinäisten sotilaiden tukemista läpi vuoden.

Dank Ihrer Unterstützung waren die Schulen im ganzen Land auch in diesem Jahr wieder von Freude, Kostümen, Megilla-Lesungen und bedeutungsvollen Feiern erfüllt. Über die Festlichkeiten hinaus erinnert uns Purim an Gottes mächtige Rettung – eine Zeit, in der das Dekret der Zerstörung in einen Tag der Befreiung für das jüdische Volk verwandelt wurde.
    Sie, liebe Freunde, machen dies möglich, indem Sie das ganze Jahr über Lebensmittel, Unterrichtsmaterialien und sogar Verbesserungen in den Klassenzimmern bereitstellen. An diesem Purim haben Ihre Geschenke die Herzen der Kinder mit Freude erfüllt. Freunde aus aller Welt, die uns besuchten, teilten ihr Lachen und ihr Licht.

    Ein fröhliches Fest mit Holocaust-Überlebenden

    Im Sabra House – dem Haus der guten Taten – haben wir eine bewegende Purim-Party für Holocaust-Überlebende veranstaltet. Obwohl viele von ihnen gebrechlich sind und Schmerzen haben, hellte sich ihre Stimmung auf, als wir die Geschichte von Esther nacherzählten und Gottes Treue feierten. Ein begabter Musiker spielte für sie und brachte sie zum Lächeln und sogar zu Tränen der Freude. Eine ältere Frau flüsterte hoffnungsvoll: “Mögen wir es verdienen, auch nächstes Jahr zu feiern”.
    Jeder Überlebende erhielt ein handgestricktes Geschenk – Schals und Socken, die mit Liebe und Gebeten von Frauen in Finnland und Deutschland hergestellt wurden. Eine schöne Geste über Generationen und Nationen hinweg.

    Unterstützung für Familien in Not

    Hunderte von Lebensmittelpaketen wurden an bedürftige Familien verteilt – Pakete mit Grundnahrungsmitteln, Obst, Gemüse, Fleisch, Fisch und zusätzlichen Süßigkeiten für die Feiertage. Zu diesen Familien gehören auch Kinder mit Behinderungen. Wir werden sie auch über die Feiertage hinaus begleiten und ihnen Hilfe und Hoffnung bieten.

    Die Stärkung unserer Soldaten

    Die Soldaten des Heimatfrontkommandos, die unermüdlich im Dienste der Zivilbevölkerung nahe der Nordgrenze stehen, nahmen ebenfalls an einer Purimfeier teil, die wir mitorganisiert hatten. Diese tapferen Männer und Frauen, die oft im Stillen unter Beschuss arbeiten, konnten für einen kurzen Moment lachen und sich amüsieren – zusammen mit unseren Gästen aus Deutschland, die von der Veranstaltung tief bewegt waren.
    Wir werden diese Soldaten, einschließlich der einsamen Soldaten, das ganze Jahr über unterstützen.

Este ano, mais uma vez, graças ao seu apoio, as escolas de todo o país encheram-se de alegria, trajes, leituras da Megillah e celebrações significativas. Para além das festividades, Purim recorda-nos a poderosa salvação de Deus – uma altura em que o decreto de destruição se transformou num dia de libertação para o povo judeu.

    Vocês, os nossos queridos amigos, tornam isto possível fornecendo alimentos, materiais educativos e até melhoramentos nas salas de aula durante todo o ano. Neste Purim, os vossos presentes deram alegria aos corações das crianças. Amigos visitantes de todo o mundo partilharam o seu riso e a sua luz.

    Na Casa Sabra – a Casa das Boas Acções – organizámos uma comovente festa de Purim para os sobreviventes do Holocausto. Apesar de muitos deles serem frágeis e estarem a sofrer, os seus espíritos foram levantados enquanto recontávamos a história de Ester e celebrávamos a fidelidade de Deus. Um músico talentoso tocou para eles, trazendo-lhes sorrisos e até lágrimas de alegria. Uma mulher idosa sussurrou com esperança: “Que possamos merecer celebrar também no próximo ano”.

    Cada sobrevivente recebeu uma prenda tricotada à mão – cachecóis e meias feitos com amor e orações por mulheres da Finlândia e da Alemanha. Um gesto bonito que atravessou gerações e nações.

    Apoio a famílias carenciadas

    Centenas de pacotes de alimentos foram distribuídos a famílias em dificuldades – pacotes cheios de bens essenciais, frutas, legumes, carne, peixe e doces extra para as férias. Algumas destas famílias incluíam crianças com deficiência. Continuamos a acompanhá-las para além das férias, oferecendo ajuda e esperança.

    Fortalecer os nossos soldados

    Os soldados do Comando da Frente Interna, que servem incansavelmente os civis perto da fronteira norte, também se juntaram a uma celebração de Purim que ajudámos a organizar. Beyond the festivities, Purim reminds us of God’s mighty salvation—a time when the decree of destruction was turned into a day of deliverance for the Jewish people.
    You, our dear friends, make this possible by providing food, educational materials, and even classroom improvements all year round. This Purim, your gifts added joy to the children’s hearts. Visiting friends from around the world shared in their laughter and light.

    Each survivor received a hand-knitted gift—scarves and socks made with love and prayers by women in Finland and Germany. A beautiful gesture across generations and nations.

    Hundreds of food packages were distributed to struggling families—packages filled with essentials, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, and extra sweets for the holiday. Some of these families include children with disabilities. We continue to walk with them beyond the holidays, offering help and hope.

    Strengthening Our Soldiers

    The Home Front Command soldiers, tirelessly serving civilians near the northern border, also joined in a Purim celebration we helped organize. These brave men and women, often working in silence under fire, were able to laugh and enjoy for a brief moment—joined by our guests from Germany, who were deeply moved by the event.
    We continue to support these soldiers, including lone soldiers, throughout the year.

Neste Purim, os vossos presentes deram alegria aos corações das crianças. Amigos visitantes de todo o mundo partilharam o seu riso e a sua luz.

    Uma celebração alegre com sobreviventes do Holocausto

    Na Casa Sabra – a Casa das Boas Acções – organizámos uma comovente festa de Purim para os sobreviventes do Holocausto. Apesar de muitos deles serem frágeis e estarem a sofrer, os seus espíritos foram levantados enquanto recontávamos a história de Ester e celebrávamos a fidelidade de Deus. Um músico talentoso tocou para eles, trazendo-lhes sorrisos e até lágrimas de alegria. Uma mulher idosa sussurrou com esperança: “Que possamos merecer celebrar também no próximo ano”.

    Cada sobrevivente recebeu uma prenda tricotada à mão – cachecóis e meias feitos com amor e orações por mulheres da Finlândia e da Alemanha. Um gesto bonito que atravessou gerações e nações.

    Apoio a famílias carenciadas

    Centenas de pacotes de alimentos foram distribuídos a famílias em dificuldades – pacotes cheios de bens essenciais, frutas, legumes, carne, peixe e doces extra para as férias. Algumas destas famílias incluíam crianças com deficiência. Continuamos a acompanhá-las para além das férias, oferecendo ajuda e esperança.

    Fortalecer os nossos soldados

    Os soldados do Comando da Frente Interna, que servem incansavelmente os civis perto da fronteira norte, também se juntaram a uma celebração de Purim que ajudámos a organizar. Estes homens e mulheres corajosos, que muitas vezes trabalham em silêncio sob fogo, puderam rir e divertir-se por um breve momento – acompanhados pelos nossos convidados da Alemanha, que ficaram profundamente comovidos com o evento.

    Continuamos a apoiar estes soldados, incluindo os soldados solitários, ao longo do ano.

    Que as bênçãos do Altíssimo estejam convosco, com a vossa família e com a vossa comunidade.
